Adaptive Athletes

Overview:

Through our experience with Matt’s accident, we know first-hand what it’s like to experience a catastrophic injury, go through in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation, and then be left with the questions of “What now?” and “What’s next?” with seemingly no answers and no resources. Despite many excellent rehabilitation programs in our area, no existing facilities bridge the critical gap between basic functional rehab and continued health and wellness for people like us. Our journey took us halfway across the country, where Matt was able to regain strength, function, and confidence, all through athletic-based physical training.

Now, Stand Strong Training Center is proud to fill that void. We offer Adaptive Athletic Training to individuals who have experienced changing injuries and diagnoses and who are looking to train in an athletic-based environment. We work with each adaptive athlete, both physically and mentally, in a fun, upbeat, and competitive environment, to help them overcome their obstacles, build self-confidence, and achieve fitness and wellness goals throughout life. We know our clients are stronger than they may believe and we love helping them reach more potential than they thought possible.

We also know that the individual is not the only one affected by these injuries and/or diagnoses – we know the family unit is affected as a whole. We encourage the involvement of friends and/or friendly members during workouts to help us all heal and move forward together.

How to Get Started:

Contact Us to Schedule an Initial Consultation – At Stand Strong Training Center, our focus is to get all of our clients moving towards their fitness goals safely and effectively. The initial consultation allows us to understand and assess each client’s goals and abilities, from which we will develop a personalized adaptive athletic training plan.  Call us at (484) 237-8287 to book an appointment, or fill out our online contact form HERE.

After the Initial Consultation, our adaptive athletes will have a clear idea of how and when to start their training.
