STUDENT ATHLETES
Training & Development for Athletes at Every Stage
train with purpose
Student athlete training that builds strength, confidence, and resilience for sport and for life.
We help student athletes develop strong movement fundamentals, physical performance, and mental toughness through a structured yet personalized training approach. Located in Downingtown, PA, our age-appropriate programs are designed to support long-term athletic development, reduce injury risk, and help athletes compete with confidence in any sport they play.
Built for Growing Athletes
Our programs are intentionally designed to meet athletes where they are — whether they’re just getting started or training at a higher competitive level. We prioritize proper technique, smart progression, and habits that support both performance and long-term health.
Our goal: create well-rounded athletes who are strong, confident, and prepared on the field, in the gym, and beyond their sport.

TEAM TRAINING
With us, It’s PERSONAL
Small Group Student Athlete Training
This is where most of our student athletes train – and where we see the biggest results.
We work with youth, middle school, high school, and college athletes across a wide range of sports, including baseball, softball, field hockey, wrestling, lacrosse, football, soccer, tennis, track & field, and more. Our training is designed to support multi-sport athletes and help skills transfer from season to season.
Student Athlete Training (Ages 12+)
These are 60-minute small group training sessions where athletes follow an individualized training program within a structured group environment. Every athlete trains at their own level while being actively coached and supervised by a trainer throughout the session.
Athletes focus on:
-
Strength and power development
-
Speed, agility, and conditioning
-
Proper lifting technique and movement mechanics
-
Consistency, confidence, and work ethic
This format allows athletes to get personalized coaching without losing the energy, accountability, and motivation that comes from training alongside peers.
Young Student Athlete Training (Ages 7–11)
Our 45-minute small group classes on Wednesdays at 4:30pm are for our younger athletes, and we emphasize the fundamentals of athletic development in a fun, supportive environment.
The focus is on:
-
Basic movement patterns and coordination
-
Body awareness and control
-
Core strength and stability
-
Listening skills, confidence, and effort
These classes create a strong foundation that prepares young athletes for future training – physically and mentally – while keeping things age-appropriate and engaging.

With Us, It’s PERSONAL
The owners of Stand Strong, Matt & Lindsay, are both lifelong athletes who played at Downingtown High School and then competed at the elite D1 Level. Matt played baseball for Marshall University and Lindsay rowed crew and played women’s rugby for Cornell University.
Athletics taught us critical life lessons and, most importantly, how to deal with adversity and have the grit and resilience to overcome challenges.
Now as parents to a young athlete, we’re more committed than ever to helping our youth grow through all the challenges and successes that athletics can bring. We’re proud to pass on the lessons we’ve learned to help the next generations become even more successful and resilient in their pursuit of their athletic goals.
The training students do now will exponentially impact them in their future. We bring our best every day, so they can become their best in their athletic (and life) pursuits!
